Mary Fran McCammon, MA, LPCA

Hello! My name is Mary Fran McCammon.

I believe every student deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued. Over the past 11 years as a middle and high school counselor, I have had the privilege of supporting students through the academic, social, and emotional challenges of adolescence.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lander University and my Master of Education in Counselor Education and Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from the University of South Carolina. While my education has given me the knowledge and skills to serve students well, my own journey of healing and personal growth has deepened my belief that change is possible, resilience can be built, and hope can be restored.

I became a counselor because I wanted to be someone who offers encouragement, understanding, and hope during life’s difficult seasons. I have a special place in my heart for students who are carrying more than anyone realizes, especially those who may feel misunderstood or overlooked. I believe every young person is more than their circumstances and deserves the opportunity to recognize their own strengths.

Students often describe me as caring, funny, and genuine. My counseling style is calm and direct, and I strive to create a space where students feel safe, respected, and accepted just as they are. My hope is that every student leaves our time together feeling a little calmer, a little more confident, and reminded that they are not alone.

Whether a teen is facing challenges at home, at school, or simply needs a safe place to be heard, I would be honored to be part of their support system. I look forward to partnering with families to help students grow in confidence, resilience, and hope.
